Aspire successfully assisted a prominent global telecommunications group operator and a long-term client of Aspire, in their Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) expansion plan for two markets. In this project, the final deliverable was a comprehensive report with a network performance assessment where the existing and forthcoming network performance status was dissected across various percentiles at the sector level.
The cornerstone of this achievement lay in Aspire’s cutting-edge Smart CAPEX/Cell Performance Signature (CPS) methodology. This innovative and patented approach includes advanced network performance analysis, performance forecasting, spectral efficiency considerations, and invaluable “what-if” scenario assessment. The project factored in both the present performance metrics and future forecasts, including traffic growth scenarios for the upcoming year.
One of the achievements of this project was the identification of underperforming sectors. These trouble spots were scrutinized and categorized into distinct priority groups based on the severity of the issues and their impact on end users. This, in turn, paved the way for problem-resolution strategies tailored to support various budget scenarios.
The project also delved into exploring diverse solutions for capacity expansion. Each solution underwent a thorough evaluation to estimate its impact and cost, ultimately culminating in a combination of measures aimed at achieving the desired target performance. Deliverables included a comprehensive capacity expansion plan for each sector across all possible scenarios.
Furthermore, the project proactively tackled radio-related underperformances, especially in areas with poor RF conditions. Aspire’s experts correlated these issues with a crowd source App data like Coverage Analysis, performing in-depth and user centric coverage analysis. This investigation led to the formulation of a comprehensive solution proposal, addressing coverage-related concerns head-on with significant benefit for end users.
The Smart CAPEX project optimized not only the client’s CAPEX planning, but also paved the way for enhanced network performance, robust problem resolution, and a future-proof network infrastructure.
